One of the things that we've gathered from others is that teaching animal noises will be one of the easiest things to teach Zac first. This only makes sense as this was one of the first tricks that our first two kids learned too.
Additionally, animals make the same sounds no matter where you live, right? It's not like a cow says, "Mooska" in Russia, do they?
Meowsha.
Woofska.
Oinkaiya.

Actually, I think they do say the animal sounds differently, but I've can't recall them off the top of my head to tell you. I'll have to ask my 7 year old if she remembers. I do remember that the rooster says "kook-a-roo" (I think) not cock-a-doodle-do.
I think it probably won't matter. In Russia you will be primarily in buildings (or at least not a farm) and here you will want him to learn them in English. You WILL need to explain Warren snarl and love affair with rabbits, mice, and birds. Maybe not right away! That whole obsession is a bit strange. Love you all. Mom
THey do make different sounds and there is a book you can buy something along the lines of animal sounds that will tell you all different languages. Of course I did not know this and when I got my two year old home I wondered why she kept saying GaGa for duck. It was the right sound, in Russian! So look into the book it is fun! Good Luck!
