In search of Christmas card photos

Today was a beautiful fall day. We thought that the changing leaves would make for an incredible backdrop for what hopefully would be good pictures to send with Christmas cards. (Yes, we have to start thinking about that already)

I think the pictures turned out great, but it was yet another reminder of how different we thought things would be. A month ago we were discussing strategies as to what we thought may be the best way to take good Christmas pictures of Zac. Now, we're merely moving on without him. Our time frame is quickly moving down to 4 more months (as opposed to 5), but there are still many moments when it seems like time is standing still.

Looks like this son had a haircut. If only.... well, Zac will get one in short order I am sure. Great photos of two happy kids. N

Beautiful pictures!! I really like the last one :O) The fall leaves made a great backdrop for your precious children! I know you are looking forward to pictures of all 3 of your children together. What a pretty picture you will have next year too!

What great pics! Such beautiful fall colors...makes me miss Nebraska!! Give a big hug to Hallie and Jake and know that Zac is in our prayers. We love you all! :)

#5 would make an excellent choice for Christmas because it shows off your beautiful kiddos close up.

I can't get over how big your kids are now. It seems like yesterday when they were born.

Time is just plain weird!

Will keep praying for God's plan and for comfort.

Those are beautiful! You can't go wrong with any of them. Or maybe a collage... The fall foliage is great but those two little faces would make any backdrop look picture worthy.

Pick the one of them hiding behind the tree. You should be a professional photographer, the shots are priceless!
